YOU, A STAR
A star has fallen this night
From the sky inside my arms
And has given me the light,
Again, with its burning charms:
Her voice was so powerful
Her eyes were too wonderful
In spite of her lovely heart,
In spite of her warming glance
While her hands began to dance
With passion as the waves,
With modesty as the slaves
Saying those harmonic words
For them, whose only belief
Today is the war to live,
Whose only strength are the swords.
